My recent stay, albeit slightly unplanned, turned out to be a delightful surprise as my fiancé and I found ourselves in a spacious Japanese-style room adorned with tatami flooring, which exuded warmth and charm. The meticulous cleanliness of the space was commendable, and the Japanese breakfast prepared by our welcoming host was a delicious highlight to start each day on the slopes. The location is superb—just a short walk to the free shuttle bus stop for Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort, and even better, it’s a lovely stroll to the nearby onsen where we could unwind in the soothing hot springs after an exhilarating day of skiing. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including a ski gear storage area that made our outdoor adventures seamless. What truly made our stay memorable was the attentive hospitality of the proprietress, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even helping me with an injury during our visit. If you’re seeking an authentic ryokan experience infused with warmth and delectable breakfasts, I wholeheartedly recommend Tobei. It's a slice of tranquility that will enchant fellow travelers, particularly those who cherish both skiing and the soothing embrace of hot springs.
